Spooky Coloring Book Haul & Books I Checked Out From Libby

Hi y'all! I keep posting everywhere that there's only 1 week left til Halloween! I'm so excited and shouting it from the rooftops lol! Today I'm going to share some spooky coloring books I got to color in for this season as well as chat about some books I've checked out from Libby lately. Let's get into it!

The first few coloring books I got are cutesy, kawaii books for a lighter take on Halloween. One is a kawaii coloring book called Cute Witch Stuff by Coco Wyo and the other one is called Spooky and follows an adorable black cat being witchy lol! I love the concept! I'm using markers on these two books!

The creepy book I got is Dark Art Gothica by the artist Francois Gautier. It's heavily influenced by gothic architecture and motifs, and it's so beautiful yet creepy at the same time, which I love. You will definitely need gel pens or sharp colored pencils to get into the tiny details on this one!

My favorite coloring book that I got for Halloween is this one right above! Tales from the Witch's Cottage by Hanna Karlzon. It's got a dark cottagecore aesthetic with lots of witchyness! I love it so much because that's totally my aesthetic. Highly recommend all of Hanna Karlzon's coloring books, she's a fantastic artist. I use Crayola Supertips and gel pens in this, it's printed front and back so don't use paint or alcohol markers!

Now for some books I've checked out from Libby! The first one I've just started is The Rabbit Hutch by Tess Gunty. This is a very intriguing book because it jumps around to all different characters who all live in this same apartment building. You get a look into all their lives and it's super interesting and keeps my attention span going with how jumpy it's written. I'm liking it so far!

The other book I checked out is a spooky YA horror: Wake the Bones by Elizabeth Kilcoyne. I've just barely started this and all I know is that it's about a girl returning to her hometown in rural Kentucky after dropping out of college and she makes money by growing tobacco and selling taxidermy jewelry and other things like that. I guess things are going to get really creepy in this book judging from reviews, but we shall see! I like rural country creepiness lol.

Alright, so that's my coloring book haul and Libby checkouts! What have you been reading and coloring, I'd love to know! See y'all for now!

Alette
