Books I Got For Christmas 2020!
Hey everyone! Hope you're all well! Today I'm going to chat a bit about the books and coloring books I got for Christmas! As you know, I love to read and color, so I'm very excited and grateful for these presents! Let's get into it!
The first book I got is Tidelands by Philippa Gregory! I have loved reading Philippa Gregory's books since I was in middle school. She's just such an amazing writer! So when I heard about Tidelands, I HAD to get it. This book is set in England in 1648 during England's civil war. It's a dangerous time to be alive, especially for women, and everyone is suspicious of each other. The book focuses on a young woman and her life in limbo with her husband missing in war and a lover that might be a spy and dangerous...This sounds so good to me; I love reading about England's civil war and anything Philippa does, I love!
The second book I got is The Beholder by Anna Bright. I was super excited for this book because it was described as a traveling and royal Bachelorette book, which I think is a super fun premise! It's about a young woman who is heir to a throne and she gets rejected in her engagement. Her mother then sends her on a journey around this fantasy world to get engaged...or not come home at all if she doesn't succeed. I am super excited to read this!
The third book I got is The Boundless by Anna Bright, which is the sequel to The Beholder. I'm going in blind on this book so I don't spoil myself at all, so sorry I can't tell you what it's about yet!
Then I got two coloring books! They are both from the Mythographic series, Imagine is by Joseph Catimbang and Enchanted Castles is by Fabiana Attanasio. I've started coloring in Imagine and it's so much fun! Lots of whimsical, fantasy pictures with hidden items you have to find. Enchanted Castles is all about fantastical themed castles, which I dearly love. I'm saving that one for a rainy day :)
Those are the books I got for Christmas 2020! I'm very grateful and pleased with everything! What books did you get? Any recommendations? I'd love to hear them! I hope you're all doing well and I'll talk to ya soon!
