Reading Slump & Last of Summer Weather -Diary Entry-
Hey y'all, good evening, hope you're all having a relaxing Saturday night. My Saturday was pretty good! I got lots of writing done and planned a few things out. I hung out with my brother and we watched King Kong (the one with Jack Black, Adrian Brody, and Naomi Watts, aka the best one). I'm still struggling to motivate myself and find my niche in work but it'll happen eventually. I just need to keep trying things out! If you never try, nothing happens, right?!
I sat outside on the patio with my mom today and realized it would probably be the last of summer weather today. Tomorrow a cold front blows through and for the next two weeks temperatures will be in the 60's. I can't wait! I'm so pumped for cool weather and fall festivities! My mom has decorated the house and porch for Halloween. Check out my instagram (at bookishmunchkin) to see how she did our foyer. I will post more photos of around the house soon as well :) My mom is a master decorator if you didn't know, she's super talented at interior design!
If you're wondering why there hasn't been any bookish thoughts posts, that's because I haven't been reading lol. I'm almost FIVE books behind my Goodreads goal! Lucky for me, I have two books that I'm almost done with (shown above in the instagram photo). I don't know why but I just have not been able to concentrate on reading. It's terrible of me, but hopefully I'll get back to it. It's hard to concentrate with everything that's going on.
Tomorrow I start my new diet, OMAD, or one meal a day. It's basically intermittent fasting. I've read it helps with insulin resistance and since I have PCOS I decided to try it out. Hopefully I see some results! I'll do a whole post a month from now about my results and improvements I've noticed and whether it worked for me or not. There, now I'm holding myself accountable on here haha.
I think tonight I'm going to color and get back into watching Harlots on Hulu or maybe Community. I watched Community ages ago and found it hilarious so I'm excited to get back into it again. I hope you're all doing well and that you have a great night!
Until next time,
Alette
