Life Update -Selling House, Moving, Where Am I Now?-

Hey y'all! It's good to be back! So I tried out Wordpress for blogging starting in October and gave it a few months of trying, but I just didn't like it. If you were wondering where I was all those months, that's where!

So what's been going on in my life? Mayhem, that's what! My family was still in the process of selling our house and thank goodness it finally sold around Thanksgiving! We were ecstatic that we sold the house and so happy that we wouldn't have to be separate anymore. My dad had moved to Kansas City months ago and my brother followed a bit after, so it was really hard being away from them both. Thanksgiving was weird since it was just me and my mom, but we scrounged together a simple dinner and had fun :)

The past few weeks, me and my mom have been dealing with all the packers and movers, organizing everything, and then my dad flew out to Denver to drive us to Kansas City. A little over a 9 hour drive, not too bad. My cats were exhausted from all the change so they didn't even meow too much! And now we're here, all reunited, in a hotel apartment waiting for us to be able to move into our new house! I'm so excited! And yes, Kansas City is where we moved to, my new home! 

First impressions of Kansas? People are way nicer here than in Denver and no one drives too crazy, unlike in Denver. Both welcome changes! I'm liking it so far! I think I'll really love it here once I'm moved into our new house. Also, it's week until Christmas! It doesn't really feel like Christmas this year because of the move, but we do have a tiny tree for decoration. We'll be exchanging presents AFTER we move in and get settled, no time to right now. But what's important is having happiness and loved ones around you for Christmas :) Right?! I've come to cherish that more than anything. 

Until we move in, I'm just going to be reading, blogging, coloring, and adjusting to my surroundings. My mental health hasn't been the greatest because of change, stress, and exhaustion, so I'm trying to recover. In due time! I hope y'all are doing wonderful and enjoying the holidays.
