Pestilence Book Review 4.5 Stars!
Hey bookworms! So, last night I finished Pestilence by Laura Thalassa and I just HAD to do a book review post this morning! Let's get right into it.
So, Pestilence is a New Adult romance about a young woman, Sara Burns, who is a firefighter. She volunteers to stay behind in an apocalyptic world which is being ravaged by Pestilence, one of the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Her mission is to kill him and save the world from the Plague. Unfortunately for Sara, Pestilence is immortal. He takes her prisoner and together they journey across Canada, spreading the plague. As the book goes on, they become closer while facing danger together and fall in love.
It's a slow burn romance that turns steamy, so if that's your type of romance, I highly recommend reading this. I absolutely loved Sara and Pestilence. Sara is so strong and witty and has such a good heart. Pestilence is hilarious with his otherworldly, immortal ways and deep down has a good heart. The book touches on an interesting perception of religion and faith, which I really liked.
This book made me laugh, made me cry, and I loved it. I can't wait to read more books by Laura Thalassa!
