Life Update & Fave Songs
Hey y'all! Sorry I've been MIA, whew it's been a busy past week or two! First of all, my anxiety and fatigue have been through the roof! I'm guessing because it's winter and dark and cold, my mental health has been acting up. And when my anxiety acts up, I get physically ill so that hasn't been too fun. Besides that, our kitchen was getting renovated for a new backsplash! I should take pictures and show y'all because it looks beautiful! The tile guy was very talented.
We've also been busy preparing for my mom's surgery, which was this morning. All went well and she's sleeping now in recovery, my dad has texted me. I'm waiting to go visit her later in the day. Prayers, good vibes, and well wishes are very welcome for her speedy and smooth recovery! She's going to take a total of 6 weeks I think to recover, so I'm all ready to help her and be in charge of the house.
Speaking of which, I'm going to be doing a lot of cooking for dinners during the week, so stay tuned for recipe posts! Yay! I also hope to do some homemaking posts as well :) I just hope I kick this darn fatigue to the curb. It's really debilitating but that's life I guess!
I decided I'm going to push through my tiredness and do blogging anyway because without it I feel like something is missing! Blogging makes me so happy, so I'm going to try my hardest to do it everyday. I'd like to do my book post in the morning, lifestyle in the afternoon, and a diary post in the evening. I think that'd be really fun :)
In addition to this life update, I thought I'd share some of my fave songs lately! You can follow me on Spotify at bookishmunchkin.
1. 7 Rings by Ariana Grande~ Who ISN'T loving this song?!! It's so catchy and I used to play These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things for my piano recitals :)
2. Tidal Wave by Portugal. The Man. ~ I found this song from Gina Rodriguez's new movie coming out and I really like it. It's cheerful!
3. hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have by Lana Del Rey~ I love everything Lana puts out and this song is so heart wrenching but beautiful. I cry while listening to it so if you're depressed, heads up lol.
4. When I Was Older by Billie Eilish~ This is a chill, trippy song inspired by the movie Roma which I really want to see. Classic Billie style :)
5. Spirited Away by Elliot Lee~ This is a lovely song with great meaning, I really like Elliot Lee's messages in songs.
Those are my latest top 5 favorite songs! I hope y'all enjoyed this post, send my mom some well wishes, and I'll see yall tomorrow!
