Mental Health Update & Book Recommendation
Hey y'all! Today I thought I'd update you on how I'm doing mentally and give you a book recommendation! As you know, the past few months have been rough for my mental health. I was dealing with hallucinations, mood instability, depression, and major anxiety. Over the past 2 months, my psychiatrist has adjusted my meds and I can finally say I see a difference now in how I feel and function.
Things are so much better! I'm stable mood-wise again, I have very few hallucinations, my depression is lessening, and my anxiety isn't making me physically ill anymore. I'm very happy and am going to enjoy this good feeling for as long as it lasts. Anyone with an illness knows how annoying it is when you have to adjust your meds because things aren't working anymore. But please, just hang in there and know that eventually, things are going to be sorted and get better! Your mental health professionals will help you and figure things out, I promise! I'm sending everyone a big hug who is going through a hard time right now; things are going to improve!
Now for my book recommendation! If you are fans of Gone Girl and other thrillers, then you're going to love this! It's called The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine. It is SO good! My mom actually recommended this book to me and I'm so glad I read it. It's about two women, Amber and Daphne. Amber is trying to steal Daphne's life and husband and Daphne...well, she's not what she appears to be. That's all I'm going to say because anything else will be spoiled. Reese Witherspoon recommended this book in her book club and I believe that it might be made into a movie! Again, pick this up if you like psychological thrillers.
Well, it's a beautiful day out! Fall is here and crisp and cool with a warm sunshine. I think I'm going to color outside for a bit and maybe bake some cookies later. I hope you all are having a splendid day and I'll see y'all tomorrow!
Alette
