Friday Faves!
Hey y'all! I'm back! I haven't been feeling the best mentally, but today is a fairly good day so I'm going to get some blogging in.
Today I'm starting a new series called Friday Faves where I talk each week about some of my latest favorite things. So without further ado, let's go!
Reading: I'm almost done reading Slammerkin so keep a lookout for that review on my book blog. I've also been rereading A Discovery of Witches (which I LOVE!) so I can be ready to watch the show when it comes to the US. I've also been reading several ebooks from Kindle Unlimited, which I'll also detail on my book blog next week.
Watching: My brother and I have been binge watching several shows on Netflix lately. We finished Million Pound Menu, which was so good! It's a British show that's basically a mixture of Shark Tank and a cooking competition. We also finished Mega Food which was about large scale restaurants, cruise ship kitchens, hotel kitchens, and how they all operate. That was really cool to see behind the scenes.
Listening: I've recently really gotten into J Balvin's music, which is my first footstep into the world of Latin music. I love it! If you haven't listened to his most popular songs or newest album, I really recommend that you do. He also has other great Latin artists featured like Rosalia, Anitta, and Karol G. You have probably heard him featured on Cardi B's song I Like It.
Creating: I have been super busy creating DIY wall art and other projects for my newly decorated room! I'll feature them all on my art blog so keep an eye out for that. I've also been coloring a lot to help with my anxiety and have been experimenting with watercolor and gel pens.
Eating: Lately, I've been obsessed with pierogis that I found in the frozen food section. I love them soooo much. In case you don't know what they are, they are pastry shells filled with mashed potatoes and cheese. You can cook them with butter and onions and they taste beyond amazing. They're the ultimate comfort food!
Wearing: Since I've been in a depressed slump, I have been dressing only in comfy clothes with no makeup and my hair in a messy bun. Not attractive, but very comfortable.
Loving: I've been loving the few good days that I have and have been cherishing them dearly. I've also been loving that my family is in good health and is doing well. I've been loving my hobbies and keeping busy. I've also been loving how the weather is ever so slowly cooling down for fall!
Those are my Friday Faves! What are some of your latest favorites? I hope y'all have had a great week and are going to have a fantastic weekend!
Alette
