New Planner, A Discovery of Witches, & Future Room Plans

Hey y'all! I hope you're all doing great today, Happy Friday! I'm feeling more myself today, thankfully. I went to Walmart today and got a few things including this planner! I'm almost done with my current planner; I just have one month left in it so I wanted to get a new one to be prepared. Walmart has these planner kits for about $11 and it's such a great deal! I got this one that says "Be true to you" which I love :)

For each month it has this cute page to fill out what you're currently enjoying and loving as well as birthdays and goals.

The best part is that it has all these pages and designs to fill in and color! Perfect for me, right?! If you're super busy, you don't even have to color them in because they look cool just as they are.

It also came with three mini baby rolls of washi tape and some stickers, like these! Super cute, I think it was a great buy. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to The Happy Planner or whatever else, try this!

Next up is my plan for my room! I'm planning on painting both of my rooms and bathroom in this beautiful color. It's a rich gray with a violet undertone that you can really only see in person. It's so lovely. If you're interested, this color is from Sherwin Williams and is in the shade Swanky Gray. I've already taken "before" pictures of my room and I'll do a whole post of how it looks after. I'm going for a geeky room theme; I already bought my favorite posters to hang and have my bedding picked out.

Currently, I've been rereading A Discover of Witches by Deborah Harkness. I LOVE THIS BOOK! I need to also read the second and third in the trilogy. If you haven't heard of this, it's about the world of witches, vampires, and daemons. It's done in a very smart and sophisticated way (the author is a renowned professor of history). I know in the second book time travel happens and there are tons of themes of history, alchemy, and supernatural elements. The reason I'm rereading it is because it's being made into a t.v. show, which I'm SO excited about. I saw Matthew Goode plays Matthew Clairmont and I'm over the moon about that casting choice. The show will have a lot to live up to in the book but I'm betting it's going to be great. I recommend reading this series during the fall because of the supernatural elements, but it's also a great summer read too because of the romance.

Speaking of this book, I think I'm going to go read it right now! I hope y'all have a great weekend and I'll see ya soon :)

Alette
