Currently Reading, Bible Journaling & Coloring
Happy Sunday y'all! Oh and Happy Father's Day! I hope everyone has been having a great weekend! I have kind of been a slug this weekend; I haven't felt the best physically or mentally so I've been sleeping a lot and taking it easy. I hope I feel more myself tomorrow. Needless to say, I haven't been doing anything too exciting lately!
I just wanted to share today my latest coloring artwork, bible journaling, and my big stack of currently reading books! As you can see up above I just finished this coloring page of an ancient lace pattern, isn't that cool? It's out of the book Elegant Designs of the Ages by Creative Haven, it has all sorts of patterns and designs from fabrics and architecture throughout history. I love it! Highly recommend you pick that up if you're a history or art history lover.
Here's the latest in what I've been bible journaling out of my Inspire bible. I finally started Psalms and I'm so excited! I LOVE Psalms and I love how this page turned out with the sun header and one of my favorite psalms in the sidebar. So pretty :) I'm slowly working my way through my bible and journaling on each and every page! My goal is to finish this bible by my birthday so I can start on the Inspire Praise bible!
Here's my rather ridiculous stack of books that I'm currently reading! I'll give a brief description of each one! Lady Midnight is by Cassandra Clare and the first in the Dark Artifices series. I loved the Clockwork Angel series, so I know I'll love this book too. It's a fantasy about Nephilim and other magical creatures.
My Lady Jane is a hilarious alternative history of Jane Grey, you know the girl that was Queen of England for a few days and then got her head chopped off? Well, this book takes things in a different direction with a fantasy element and so far, I'm loving it!
Julie & Julia is one I've already talked about in my other post of my book haul! The Crimson Petal and the White is a historical saga about a prostitute named Sugar and her climb to better things in London. This one will take me awhile to get through!
Becoming Marie Antoinette is all about Marie and her childhood and her grooming to become Queen of France. I love anything to do with Marie so I've really been enjoying this!
Last but not least is the Rivals of Versailles, the second in the Versailles trilogy that I've talked about. This book is all about Madame de Pompadour and I'm so excited to finally read something solely about her!
So yep, that's all of them! I know, I'm a mad woman for reading so many books at the same time but I can't help it! My short attention span needs that! I'll let you in on a little secret too...I have ten more books I'm reading on my kindle. Haha! I know, I have a book problem :)
Anywho, I suppose I should go help with dinner and write in my planner for the upcoming week. I hope you all are doing great and I'll see you soon!
Alette
