Fancy Dinner & Weight Loss Goals

"Start Each Day with a Grateful Heart"

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! I hope you're having a great weekend full of lots of fun! I certainly did! Yesterday me and my family went out for a super special fancy dinner to celebrate my brother turning 21 years old this week. It was such an amazing experience! The servers were so nice, helpful, and attentive. I felt like royalty lol. And the food was incredible!!! We had calamari and crab cakes for appetizer (yum), I had jumbo seared sea scallops, mashed potatoes and garlic, and lobster mac and cheese for dinner and sides (super yum), and we all shared chocolate cake, lemon shortcake, and homemade s'mores in a skillet for dessert ( mega yum!). It was so so good and we all went home that night feeling stuffed and spoiled! The best part though was seeing my little brother sitting at the table all proud and happy; I can't believe he's already 21 and a grown man now! Special nights with great family and food is the best :)

I went home that night and passed out in a food coma haha. Today I've just been doing laundry, putting clothes away, and tidying a bit. I also got a workout in; I'm proud to say that I've been working out everyday for 3 weeks straight now!

I'm in a much healthier place with weight loss now than I used to be. I'm not going to restrict myself on super low calories and deny myself treats and just make myself miserable in general. Life is way too short for that! I'm just going to be watching my portions and have fun with my workouts and sloooowly weight is coming off. I'm aiming to lose 20-30 pounds this summer, whenever I get in that range and feel happy then I'll stop and work on maintaining. I've accepted I'm a curvy body shape and that's totally fine! I don't have to be a size 0 to be happy and look good! I should write more about body image sometime, but I just wanted to update y'all on my weight loss.

Here's some bible journaling to commemorate Sunday! I do a little bible journaling everyday and I truly believe it keeps me in a good state of mind. I love that verse above: "The Lord is peace" He truly, truly is <3

I hope you have a blessed Sunday and a great start to the coming week. I'll see ya tomorrow!
Alette
