Good morning everyone! I'm up super early for a change lol! Today I have a book review for you and some bookish thoughts about another book. Let's get into it!

The other day I finished Angela's Hope by Leah Banicki. This is the second book in the Wildflowers series. It's a Western Romance Christian Fiction book, but don't let that scare you away. I don't really find the books to be preachy (like some Christian fiction is) and I consider the books to be more of a historical fiction set on the Oregon Trail and in the West during the mid 1800's.

The first book was all about Corinne's journey, which I loved. The second book alternated between Corinne but stayed mostly about Angela, Corinne's best friend. Angela has had a very hard and confusing life so this book was all about her finding out who she is, her past, her future, and what she wants in life. I love Angela, I relate to her a lot, and I loved this book.

I gave it 4 stars for the setting, Angela's plot and character development, and the descriptive writing. I absolutely adore all the side characters, especially Clive. I highly recommend this series if you're looking for a long historical fiction series (I think there are 8 books so far, so plenty to read!), love western romances, or you enjoy subtle Christian fiction.

Now for some bookish thoughts on Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan. This is the last book in the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy. I'm so sad to see it end, but all good things must come to an end, right? I'm really enjoying it but I will say this...each book in the series gets more series and less focused on Nick and Rachel. I'm not complaining, I'm just warning you if you are into the series solely for fun or for Nick and Rachel's relationship.

Kevin Kwan's writing is fantastic as always and super descriptive as well as informative. All of the points of view and side characters are so well fleshed out and tied together intricately but without getting tangled. I love that! When it's done well, it is absolutely fantastic to read! I won't give away what Rich People Problems is about since there's spoilers, but if you enjoyed the second book, then most likely you will enjoy this one too!
