Book Haul & Currently Reading -Romantasy, Nora Roberts, & Welsh Fantasy-

Hiya bookworms! Today I'm going to be chatting about some books I've hauled/what I'm currently reading! It's all mixed up together in this stack, so let's just get into it!

So two books I hauled from Pangobooks is The Unsinkable Greta James by Jennifer E. Smith and The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton. The Unsinkable Greta James is about an indie singer whose mother has passed away and she's struggling with how different life is now. Her brother cajoles her into going on an Alaskan cruise with her dad (he was originally supposed to go on this cruise with his wife, her mother) and the book journey goes from there. It's about healing and mending families and a bit of romance I believe. I love the setting and story premise so I have high hopes for this book. The Light Pirate is set in futuristic Florida being ravaged by climate change and how this woman, our main character, is surviving the turmoil. Should be very interesting and a bit scary!

Next up is The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh. This is the first in a quartet about vampires in New Orleans. Say no more! I am totally on board for this book series! Very excited to start it! Then the next book is a short story compilation by Nora Roberts called A Little Fate. I found this in a thrift store and was intrigued. I love fantasy short stories and there's three in the book. I'll review this further when I've read it!

Next is Cake Eater by Allyson Dahlin. THIS BOOK, OMG! It's about a futuristic, modern Marie Antoinette who is the Queen of Influencers lol. I don't know much more than that but you totally had me at Marie Antoinette. I will read ANYTHING with Marie Antoinette in it! As you can see, I am very very excited to read this. A book that I actually am reading right now is The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones. I'm going to do a full review on this one but oh wow, it's so unique and fairytale-like, and lovely and creepy. You're going to want to read this one!

Another book I'm currently reading is From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout. So good, so romantasy lol. Y'all probably know all about this book, author, and series. Let's just say, it's great romantic fantasy = romantasy! Then is With Love, From Cold World by Alicia Thompson. It's set in Florida at this workplace that's winter wonderland themed. It's a coworker romance and I'm excited to read it for the setting and coworker aspect, yay!

A book that I recently bought is The World Cannot Give by Tara Isabella Burton. I loved this author's first book, Social Creatures (highly recommend), and I'm super excited to get into this one. It's set at a girl's boarding school or college I believe and is queer romance and kinda dark academia? I'm not sure but I know I'm going to like it if it's by this author! And the last book I got is Writers and Lovers by Lily King. This is about a woman struggling to write (been there, done that) and is struggling to get to a place in life where she's happy and inspired. It sounds relatable and like it will be a good read!
