Monthly Wrap Up -Life Lately in Isolation-
Hey y'all! What a month it's been. March has felt like a lifetime! I've been in isolation with my family for several weeks now and that will continue til the end of April. I hope you all are safe and healthy and stay isolated if possible!
It's a scary time for sure and I think most people are suffering from some form of anxiety or depression or both right now. The world is hurting. My anxiety is definitely high because I'm fretting about getting coronavirus or my family or friends getting it. I'm worried about the economy and my dad's job. The list goes on! My depression isn't as bad as it has been; I think my abilify dosage increase has really helped. My hallucinations are acting up as they do with stress and I'm pretty paranoid. However, my mania is calm and I really haven't had any severe mood swings. Overall I'm doing pretty good considering what's happening in the world.
To keep busy, I've been reading a lot. Currently I'm trying to finish up three different books, one of them being The Woman in the Window, so good! I've been coloring even more! Lots of marker coloring pages because that's what calms me. I've been watching reality tv lol, because what better way to escape your life than watching someone else's? I do have a tip to keep your spirits up while in isolation: open your windows and let in the fresh air! It smells so very good and the light and fresh air really helps your brain in my opinion. Even my cats are loving the fresh air, it's so cute because they'll lift up their heads and their noses twitch while smelling lol.
That's basically how my month has gone. What have y'all been up to? Any good ideas for busting boredom? I hope you all are staying safe and I'll talk to you soon!
Alette
