Kindle Books I've Finished & Rated on Goodreads
Hey bookworms! Today I wanted to go through the kindle books I've DNF'ed and finished and what ratings I gave them on Goodreads. Follow me on Goodreads at bookishmunchkin!
The latest book I've DNF'ed is The Mermaid Trials by Cameron Drake. I gave it one star unfortunately. It was just a very childish book for a YA category. And what annoyed me most was that it was set in a world of mermaids, but nothing new or groundbreaking was added to the world. It was the same old tropes for mermaids. When you're writing a fantasy like that, you need to make it uniquely your own!
The next book I DNF'ed was The Culling Trials (Shadowspell Academy) by K.F. Breene. I got through almost half the book and it was just so boring. Nothing exciting was happening and I was annoyed that information was being withheld from the main character for no apparent reason.
The next book I rated was Sea of Stars by Amy A. Bartol. I happily finished this book and gave it four stars. I absolutely love the Kricket series and the chemistry and romance (which is rare for me). It's so well written, I won't get into specifics since it's a sequel but I highly recommend reading the first book if you haven't!
And the last book I rated was Of Sea and Stone by Kate Avery Ellison. I gave this 3 stars and really enjoyed the book. It's set in an underwater universe with Atlantis type countries, conspiracies, and hidden identities. An enjoyable read!
That's the latest and greatest from me, hope you enjoyed!
