Cooling Summer Skincare Routine
Hey y'all, Happy Saturday! In honor of summer weather finally arriving, I thought I'd do a post all about how I keep my skin cool and clean during the hottest of days.
Now, my skin is oily/combination skin. So if you have very dry skin, this might not be the best regimen for you. Just a heads up! For my fellow oily skinned girls (and guys) out there, I highly recommend The Body Shop's Tea Tree Toner! It's amazing y'all. It's mattifying so it'll help with oily skin and tea tree is great for acne prone skin like I have. It's a little over $12 at The Body Shop and it's well worth it, believe me!
Next, I love to use Freeman's Cucumber Peel-Off Mask. I got this at Ulta for under $4! A bargain! It goes on super cold and smooth and slowly dries until you can peel it right off. It says it helps to clarify and renew skin and I can definitely tell it helps to refresh my skin.
My ultimate favorite way to cool off is actually a tip I found off of YouTube. Take a sheet mask and stick it in the fridge for a bit. When you're ready to wear it, take it out and put it on and BAM! You will be hit with extreme coldness, perfect for a hot summer day! I love the Korean brand sheet masks called Dermal. I get them in this big pack off of Amazon for about $10 if I remember correctly. I recommend using the Aloe Collagen Essence mask in summer, aloe is great for sunburned skin, so I always keep that on hand since I burn so easily.
That's how I treat my oily/combo skin in summer and keep refreshed and cool! Hope this helps my fellow oily skinned people out there! See ya soon!
Alette
