A Grateful Grinch
Tonight is the Grinch party that my mom threw and I just wanted to talk about what I'm grateful for this holiday season. I think it's so important to reflect on what you're grateful for during the holidays :)
I'm beyond grateful for being born into such an amazing family. My mom is the most caring and kind person I've ever met and knows me and my quirks and how to help me. She's so creative and constantly shows me ways on how to live in the moment and enjoy the little things in life. My dad is so protective and hardworking and FUNNY! He has this gift of making any problem I have seem insignificant and way less scary by joking about it. The fact that I was born to them as my parents shows how God knew exactly what I would need in the future. And my brother Mitchell is amazing. He's always been my very best friend! He's so so smart and witty and quick to joke and laugh about anything. He's brightened up more dark days than I can count. I can't wait to see what else he accomplishes in the future :) And of course, I'm so grateful for my two kitties, Nutmeg and Ginger! They've been with me for 10 years now and they are so hilarious and comforting. From their weird habits to their fights to snuggling with me when I'm sad, they have been my best furry friends.
I'm grateful for God and for him blessing me and being with me through good times and bad. He has been there for me in my darkest times and with Him, I know I can get through anything. I'm grateful that he has made this beautiful world and made us all so different and interesting, unique in our own ways.
I'm grateful for my mental health team and for their expertise and care. They always help me in my darkest times, adjust what can be fixed, and comfort me when needed. I wish every person with a mental illness could have such a good mental health team.
I'm grateful for living in such a beautiful, cozy home and in such a beautiful state where I see snow covered mountains each and every day! I love nature and am grateful for how it grounds me and gives me peace.
I'm grateful for many more things, but those are the most important ones I can think of. What are you grateful for? I hope you're having a great weekend and I'll see you tomorrow with a post about the Grinch party and Christmas decor around my house :)
