Currently Reading & Book Haul

Hey y'all! Today I'm back with a post on what I'm currently reading on my Kindle and two new physical books I got for my TBR pile!

I have to say, this month has been epic for Kindle Unlimited readers because two VERY popular books have been put on it and I'm so pumped! The first book I'm going to be reading is Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman, which come on, everyone knows who he is! He wrote this book of short stories all about Norse mythology and I'm so so excited to read it because I'm very big into mythology!

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller is also on Kindle Unlimited, which I've been wanting to read forever! She's a Classics scholar and the book is about a retelling of Achilles and the Trojan War. I love this time period and want to study it more, so I'm very excited to read this book too.

Wake Me After The Apocalypse by Jordan Rivet is about a girl who wakes up 200 years after the apocalypse (long story) and has to learn what went wrong and how to live in this new, strange world.

Taste by D.S. Murphy is described as being a mix between Twilight and The Hunger Games which it totally is. The setting is like a vampiric Hunger Games meets The Selection. I don't want to give anything away but if you liked any of those books, you'll like this one!

The Finale by Leigh Walker is the third book in the Vampire Royals series and it's the conclusion of the competition to be Dallas' bride. I'm excited to see how it all wraps up!

Prisoner of Darkness by Nissa Leder is the second book in a series about fairies and the realms. I don't think I posted a review of the first one on this blog, but just know that while this series is kinda cheesy and problematic, it's also pretty entertaining and good for a fun read.

Cage of Deceit by Jennifer Anne Davis is about a young empress who doubles as a nighttime hero saving people. War comes upon the kingdom and chaos ensues. This should be interesting to read!

Then I downloaded The Four Kingdoms Box Set One by Melanie Cellar and these are all fairytale retellings which I am such a sucker for!

Now, the two new books I've added to my TBR pile is The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee which I'm SO excited about. The whole series is out now I believe (which I need to buy) but the first book is about New York set in the future and the ultra rich live in the very top floors of skyscrapers. It follows 4 people and their lives in the top floors. Cool, huh?

I also HAD to pick up Crazy Rich Asians because I loved the movie so much. This is by Kevin Kwan and the book is about a woman named Rachel and how she deals with finding out her boyfriend Nick is mega rich and famous in his homeland of Singapore. She must navigate his family and friends while trying to figure out where she fits in in all of this. I fully expect this book to be as wonderful as the movie :)

Well, that's it! I hope y'all enjoyed and got some ideas for your own TBR piles! I hope you're all doing great and I'll see ya tomorrow!
