My Top 5 Fave Book Genres!

Hey y'all! Today I'm going to do a Top 5 List of my favorite book genres!

1. Some people say this isn't a genre, but whatever! I LOVE Young Adult books! It's the basis of what I read and I just love and relate to them so much. My belief is that you're never too old to read and relate to Young Adult books and that that stigma needs to stop! 

2. Historical Fiction! I am a huge history buff and I adore reading historical fiction. My favorite time periods and subjects to read about are: royalty, Restoration England, the Tudors, French Revolution, the Bourbons, Ancient Rome & Egypt, the Roaring 20's, the Gilded Age, the list goes on!

3. Dystopian/Apocalyptic books. Now I'm sort of picky about which types of these books I'll read. NOTHING WITH ZOMBIES! Too scary lol. But I love natural disaster stories and reading how people deal with that and survive or die. And I love dystopian books with a historical setting if that makes any sense. 

4. Romance. I love all types of Romance books, but again, I'm sort of picky. I love sweet and funny contemporaries especially if the setting is in a bakery or a bustling city and there's lots of domestic details. I love paranormal romances with vampires (I know, I know...), but nothing with a pack of werewolves please! Historical romances set in medieval times or the Regency period *swoon*

5. Contemporary Food Fiction! Weird category, I know, but I love reading books about food and anything in a bakery, restaurant, or cooking setting. Even better if they include recipes in the book for me to try! Reading these books with a snack is the best!
