My Top Artists & Albums of the Year -Plus Recent Fave Songs-

Hi everyone, today I'm going to do a bit of a "Spotify Wrapped" myself! I think we can all agree that Spotify Wrapped kinda sucked this year BUT I'm going to do a music wrap-up anyway! Let's get into it!

My Top Artists of the Year

So, as you can see from my instagram post, my top artist of the whole year was Glass Animals, an English Indie band. I adore them. I've been listening to them since high school and they've always been consistently good at music. Their latest album was also my very favorite this year, it's called: "I LOVE YOU SO F***ING MUCH!!!" It's absolutely phenomenal, it's fun, it's happy, it's nostalgic. I loved it. Some of my top songs from that album are:

• Wonderful Nothing- "I want corruption, I think I'm the devil in disguise" such a pretty sounding song with sinister lyrics, I loved the juxtaposition of that, it's great!
• A Tear in Space (Airlock)- "I climb into your walls, I'm where the spiders go" This song is SO GOOD! The beat, the lyrics, the way his voice goes so high when he sings "I'm where the spiders go". It gives me chills, seriously. 
• On the Run- "I'll go and you'll forget this, 'Cause them's the consequences" This is a super fun song, with the repeating chant of "I'm going on the run, on the run, on the run," It's upbeat, great for when I'm attempting to work out, and reminds me to keep it movin'. 

Another favorite top artist of the year I want to talk about is Kiki Rockwell. I can't recommend this artist enough if you like fantasy music, witchy vibes, with a pagan flair. She is so unique and talented, absolutely love it. Her album "Eldest Daughter of an Eldest Daughter" is a masterpiece. Here's some of my top songs from her album:

• Strange Premonition- I love the choir chanting, the drum beat, the line "I am that dark demolition", it's so witchy, I love it
• Satisfaction- You know that song that is robotic and goes "Push me and then just touch me, so I can get my satisfaction"? She remakes that song in the creepiest, eerie way and I love it!
• Syrena- "Tie me to the mast I'm going under, There's a maiden waiting for me in the depths" about a siren, I love me some mermaids dearly, this song is enchanting and oh so lovely. She also chants in this song, and I feel it in my bones. 

Fave Recent Songs

Fangs by EXANGEL- This gets my blood pumping and me working out harder than ever in the gym. I love the beat, this is guaranteed to get you going.

The Rider by Paris Paloma- This is from LOTR show and it's so fantastical, love it and I also love Paris Paloma.

prayer1 by april27- a melodic song, with a hypnotic beat and instrumental loveliness, listen to this and you'll sway in a trance.

ARMAGEDDON by Sola Guinto, Faffi- discovered this song on TikTok, it's super catchy and fun, listen to it and support a new artist!

Headlock by Imogen Heap- this is a throwback to an artist I sincerely love, Imogen Heap. She is so unique and lovely and I've never heard this song of hers before until I came across it on TikTok and I am obsessed. It's wonderful, listen to it!
