Hey everyone! Long time, no see! I hope you're all doing well and staying safe during these times. Today, I have an amazing book to recommend you and we'll also have a bit of a chat about life. Let's get into it!

So, I have an awesome book to recommend y'all and I really hope you'll like it! It's called The Queen of All That Dies from The Fallen World series by Laura Thalassa. This is a dystopian/post apocalyptic setting in a world where a King from the East has been fighting and slowly taking over the whole world. The main character is Serenity and she's a diplomat and soldier from what used to be North America. She is sent on a diplomatic mission to meet with the King and hopefully declare a truce. Things don't go as planned and Serenity is given to the King in exchange for peace. Utter chaos ensues. Y'all...this book is SO good! It's fast paced, the romance is fantastic, the adventure is twisting and turning, and Serenity is such an amazingly strong character. I loved every second of this book. The ending...oh the ending! I'm currently reading the second book and am enjoying that just as much. I hope y'all will give this book a chance if you need a great summer read :)

As for how things have been the past couple of months...I've been chugging along. Some days are good, some days are bad. It's nice now that it's summer and there's bright sunny days and warm weather to enjoy. I've been sitting out a lot in our sun room patio area. I've been making plans for the future, working on bettering myself, talking to my therapist through phone sessions, and I'm even taking two online classes, Art History and World History! I'm pretty happy and proud of myself.

I'm still coping with the anxiety of coronavirus and trying to stay safe and keep my mind off of it. Today I'm going to get an online library card so I can check out some ebooks! I'm very excited about this lol. Perhaps I'll do a library ebook haul post! I'm so thankful for technology and ebooks nowadays, they're a lifesaver!

What have y'all been up to? Any good books you have to recommend? I'd love to hear them!

Alette
