Mental Health Struggles & Life Lately
Hello lovely people, Happy Saturday! I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!
I'll be honest, the past few days I've been struggling with my mental health. Stress has made my symptoms flare up and I've been dealing with depression and hallucinations. Not fun, but it's life and that's what happens. Luckily I had an awesome therapy session today which really helped and Monday I'm getting my medication adjusted which will help too. That's always my advice to people with mental health issues, get help and make appointments with your mental health team! Don't wait, they're there to help you!
Yesterday I was busy most of the day with my dad. We went to the airport to pick up my grandma and get her settled at home. She's been battling pneumonia and bruised ribs, so well wishes for her recovery are appreciated! Being at the airport was so chaotic and I felt my anxiety rise up and I kind of dissociated while following my dad around. But I got through it and did okay. Sometimes exposure to places like that every once in awhile is good for me, but I get exhausted by it. By the time we got home, I just ate and went to sleep.
This weekend I'm going to be working on reading my library books. I DNFed (did not finish) Becoming Belle, which was historical fiction. I skimmed through it and it wasn't the story I was expecting and was a bit boring so I didn't bother with it. I enjoyed what I did read though. Now I just have 4 books to get through from the library and then some romance books I downloaded on my Kindle for my romance book blog. I also am going to work on a word map art project that my therapist wanted me to do, which I'll do a whole post on because it might help some other people out there! I'll also be watching some t.v. and coloring to relax.
What are your plans for this weekend? I'd love to hear about them! Now that the weather is nice, I've been having my windows open and I love seeing everyone out and about and kids playing outside. Well, that's enough rambling for now. I'll see y'all soon :)
Alette
