The Spanish Princess Episode 2 Thoughts & Ramblings

Hey y'all! Happy Sunday! I can't believe tonight is the very last episode of Game of Thrones. I'm sad and disappointed, kinda don't want to watch it and see how they butchered the ending. But, oh well. I'll write up a blog post all about it tonight or tomorrow.

Today is a chill day. My brother and I went to the store and picked up some necessities and things for lunch. Tonight I'm going to cook a pierogi casserole, which I'll do a blog post all about here! It's gonna be good y'all! And I'm going to also bake a funfetti cake to go with Game of Thrones night. So you'll have two fun food posts coming your way! Until it's time to cook dinner, I'll just be blogging and coloring and catching up on YouTube. Tomorrow starts my brother's full time work schedule, so we're just going to chill out today and enjoy some down time :)

So now, thoughts on episode 2 of The Spanish Princess! I was kind disappointed they didn't show more of Arthur and Katherine's wedding but maybe they will for her and Henry's. I'll do a very quick recap and then get to my thoughts. They married, Arthur was too scared (or shy idk) to consummate the wedding, Katherine spent time telling him about herself so he was less shy, they consummated the wedding finally, Katherine's lady in waiting and Arthur get sick with the sweating sickness (I think it's the sweating sickness at least), the lady in waiting survives and Arthur dies. Katherine is now in a very precarious situation.

Okay, let's get into it. I'm happy Arthur is dead because I just found him a really awkward, boring, and weird character. I don't know why the show didn't show him as a sickly man, because in real life he was. AND I didn't like how they showed the marriage as consummated. You know why? Because in real life Katherine swore to the freaking Pope that the marriage was never consummated because Arthur was too weak and sick to. So now, the show is going to portray Katherine as a liar which I really don't think she was. Two things down that I didn't like. I did like the brief time of Katherine and Arthur warming up to each other and happy, and I felt bad for her when he died. But I'm excited now for the future of Katherine and Henry together. I know it's going to be a bumpy road for Katherine, and who knows how the show is going to portray it but I'm excited!

That's it for now, hope y'all have a great Sunday! See ya soon!
