My 100th Post! Game of Thrones & Star Wars Trailer Thoughts
Hey y'all! Today marks my 100th post! Yippee! Time flies when you're having fun! I hope you're all doing well. I've just been geeking out over Game of Thrones returning and the new Star Wars trailer coming out! I figured I'd share my thoughts about them both today :)
First up Game of Thrones! How cool was the new intro with The Wall being torn down and snow spreading everywhere? I loved that! I liked how this episode was like a reunion of sorts with Jon Snow meeting up with Bran again and introducing Dany to Sansa. And Arya bonding with Jon over their favorite swords :) And can we talk about how funny it was seeing Bran lurking around Winterfell and then staring right at Jamie when he arrived? I really wonder what's going to happen between those two. Bran is very wise and patient, so I doubt he's going to order Jamie to die or anything like that.
I have to admit, I've always been a fan of Sansa but she's kind of annoying me now with her attitude, especially when she's directing it towards Dany. I hope Dany puts her in her place. But I keep wondering with Sansa in a leadership role, if they (the writers) are going to set her up to be the one who takes the Throne at the end? That would be very interesting, but I think a lot of people would be pissed because they don't really like or understand Sansa's character.
I'm so glad Tormund survived The Wall falling. I was so freaked out when the undead boy started screaming while hanging from the wall with all the limbs on it. THAT was disturbing. I'm also happy the Hound is still alive, although my prediction is he's going to die this season as part of his redemption arc, which I'm going to be devastated over.
I'd like to just throw this theory out there and see if it comes true. Now I know I'm going to get so much hate over this, but Littlefinger was my FAVORITE! I still refuse to watch the part where he dies. But, I have a theory that we haven't seen the end of him. He never reached his full potential of evil and I doubt he would have been outwitted by Sansa and Arya. That just doesn't make sense to me. I'm wondering if he truly is dead or if he'll come back in some shape or form. I don't know, maybe it's wishful thinking, but there it is.
Now on to the Star Wars trailer. It was short but it looked so cool. I was SO happy to see Kylo merrily stabbing people through with his lightsaber. I was intrigued to see the places the characters visited. And I laughed pretty hard hearing Emperor Palpatine at the end. I don't know what part he's going to play in this but it'll probably be weird yet entertaining.
Well, those are my geeky thoughts for the moment. If y'all haven't seen either of these things, I highly recommend you do! I'll see ya tomorrow :)
Alette
