God is Unchanging!

Hey y'all! Happy Monday, hope you all are well! Today I really felt called to share this and talk about what I've been studying in the bible and how I've healed a part of my soul with this scripture. 

I've been lost and a bit sad because of people changing in my life and being ignored and just feeling like I can't rely on anyone. Now I know why I've been so sad! The truth is, you can't rely on anyone on Earth 100% of the time and NO ONE is unchanging. Except for God! I completely understand why I've been so sad and feeling let down...because I was relying on other people instead of God. God is unchanging, He will never change for the worse because He is already perfection. He will never break His promises to us. He will ALWAYS love us, without fail. He is the perfect God, who else can we rely on but Him?

Let's crack open our bibles and go to chapter 13 of Hebrews! Now, some of us may not rely on just people for happiness and safety but also on money. I know I do. I have been obsessing on ways to make money, thinking that this will bring me happiness, security, and notoriety. In doing so, I've become very unhappy and feeling unsatisfied and scared. This verse changed my life:

"Don't love money, be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, 'I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.'" Hebrews 13:5

I was blown away when I read this!!! First, because God knows the temptation we have to love money and feel secure with it. He understands that. So here He is saying that we can be completely satisfied with what we already have. We don't have to chase the dollar to feel satisfaction. We can already be satisfied! You know why? Because God clearly says, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you." How amazing is that? God will ALWAYS take care of us, be there for us, protect us, and love us. No amount of money can do that. If we just keep our faith in Him and turn to Him for help, he will never let us down. That's absolutely amazing. It changed my perspective of life. I have all that I need and more because of Him. I don't need to worry or force myself to make as much money as I can to prove worth to others. I am already worthy, loved, and protected because of God. 

Once we learn this lesson, we can truly do what Hebrews 13:6 says, "So we can say with confidence, The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?" The answer to that is nothing! With the Lord on our side we are fearless and can do anything and people can do no harm to us! What a relief and comfort!

I'll leave you with these words of sincere comfort for today coming from Hebrews 13:8-9 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. You strength comes from God's grace..."

Just think on that. Jesus will never ever ever change. He will always be unconditionally loving and protecting. As long as we aren't swayed by mere people's ideas of the world and remember that we don't gain strength from money or other people's love, only God's. How lovely! :)
