Youtube Sucks and Other Ramblings
"Hearts are Trumps" by John Everett Millais
Can we all just agree that the current state of Youtube sucks? The favoritism of certain Youtubers over everyone else...the decreased ad revenues for hardworking Youtubers...demonetizing videos for no apparent reason at all...that all sucks. But what happened a few days ago took the cake.
I'm sure you've heard about the dumbass Logan Paul or whatever his name is and his video about the Suicide Forest in Japan. I won't recap it or go into detail about it because it's very triggering for people with mental illness, hell, it's triggering for mentally stable people too!
Anyway his disgusting video went viral, supported by Youtube and even was put on their Trending page. His channel should have been taken down for what he did but guess what? He's still up there. Making millions from his garbage. And warping the minds of young children. Youtube is clear that they support this fool.
Meanwhile there's tons of thousands of hardworking, creative, awesome youtubers that don't get any support, recognition, money, NOTHING! Why can't Youtube focus on them? Oh that's right, because their work doesn't cause drama and interest and increased views. And everyone knows more views = more money. And that's what Youtube is a number one fan for...MONEY $$$$$$$.
I'm just waiting for the day when Youtube crashes and no longer has a monopoly over video sharing websites.
That's my rant for the day. In other news, I'm starting a minimalism journey this year and will be decluttering and organizing and simplifying my room tomorrow. I keep feeling the need to live more simply and I'm going to follow this feeling. I'll let ya know how it goes.
I've also started a spirituality journey, learning about Gnostic and Early Christianity, metaphysics, and earth based religions. I have many posts I want to write about regarding this in the future.
I sense that 2018 will be a year of great growth and change. Hopefully for me and our society. I'm learning change and evolving, while uncomfortable, is so good and much needed.
And on that note, I'm going to go back to my spirituality studies and eventually scrounge something up for dinner. I hope y'all had a great day/are having a great day.
See y'all tomorrow!
